Cappy is a blind captain who runs a floating pirate ship as transportation for students to Scare School. He has a talking parrot named Beaky, who works as his helper.

Overview[]
Cappy is the main transport driver for Scare School. He drives a floating pirate ship with a live figurehead named Woodward. Because of his blindness, he has to drive the ship using his coordination skills and getting help from his parrot, Beaky, resulting in a system of his own that he calls "GPS", i.e. "Guiding Parrot System". Unlike the other faculty members, he is not punitive at all and is very friendly and kind to the students, especially Casper, with whom he shows a lot of sympathy, and is always willing to help him, even if he has to inflict some rule, like giving him a trip to Deedstown without permission.

Cappy appears to be a undead pirate, judging by his green skin. He has dark green hair and beard and wears two eye patches. Like a typical pirate, he has a peg leg and a hook in place of one of his hands. He also wears a pirate costume which consists of a big black hat with the icon of a skull, a purple sailor coat with yellow borders and a big belt over it, as well as gray striped pants.
In his first appearance in the film, his nose was a striped blue color and the skull icon on his hat was purple.
Personality[]
Cappy is peaceful, hardly punitive, and does not have the meanness and perversity of the other Scare School staff. He is generally kind to the students, especially Casper, who admires him for his work. Yet he constantly forces himself to act like a typical arrogant pirate, humiliating his crew members or yelling at his parrot Beaky for no reason.
He is blind, and therefore has to have his eyes covered by two eye patches, so he gets help from Beaky to steer the ship, and when he is alone, he tends sometimes to steer well, having good coordination or guiding himself "by smell", and at other times he tends to be very poorly coordinated and not very careful, although he at least knows the direction he should go.
As a pirate, he tends to keep many memories and secrets from the past, such as his old hidden treasure or his pirate enemy Davey Jones. He seems to be well liked by the students of the school, who are impressed by his stories.
