That's more fun than a sack full of otters!
Mosshead is a swamp monster who attends Scare School and is one of Thatch's best friends, the school bully. He is the dirtiest, nastiest and least smart student in school, and has moss as the main function of his powerful abilities, hence his name.
Personality[]
Mosshead is the dirtiest student in the school. He barely cares about hygiene and is almost always avoided by the other students because of this. His favorite hobbies also include dirty, disgusting stuff, such as burping, picking his nose, and jumping in mud puddles. In "Whiz Kid Ra", he reveals that he has not changed his underwear for a very long time.
As innocent as he may seem, Mosshead is also quite mischievous, and is always involved in pranks and evil plans with Thatch and his gang. Despite this, he still stands out as the least aggressive troublemaker in the school, and does not go as far as using physical aggression or bullying like Thatch and Dummy Girl. He also seems to be one of the least smart students at Scare School, which is enough to annoy his own friends, including Thatch, who even takes advantage of his dumbness to trick him into helping with some of his plans.
Mosshead doesn't seem to be that likable to his classmates, and many of them find him annoying, just as much as Mickey and Monaco, either because of his unclean nature, or his ungrateful behavior, which angers even Casper. Despite this recurring behavior, at heart Mosshead seems to be really kind and peaceful, as at the end of "Messy Business at the Manor", where he regrets having annoyed Casper and redeems himself by helping to clean up the mess he has made at his uncles' Manor and befriends him.
Mosshead also seems to be emotionally sensitive, as he always gets sad and starts to cry when he remembers his family and his home, which he truly misses.
In "Messy Business at the Manor" Mosshead express sadness and disappointment about having to spend his vacation alone at Scare School because his "kinfolk" think he's too young to go scaring with them, and he can't stay at the swamp either. When Casper invites him home, Mosshead's demeanor flips instantly. He shows genuine gratitude for the invitation and later for Casper's Stinkie's gift (the bottomless box).
His speech and his immediate, unfiltered actions suggest a lack of sophistication or refinement. He operates on a very basic level of comfort and impulse. He seems completely unaware of the chaos and mess he's causing. When confronted about his moss, he explains it nonchalantly as something that happens when he's comfortable, showing no understanding that it's unwelcome or problematic for others.
Appearance[]
Mosshead has light brown eyes and flat green hair that resembles a bowl cut, with the underneath being spiky. He also has pointy ears and freckles, as well as a pair of upper fangs; His outfit consists of a black t-shirt with white and red striped sleeves and a print of an x formed by two bones, as well as purple shorts, different pairs of socks (one red and one yellow) and brown shoes.
Powers and Abilities[]
Mosshead has as his main skill the great control and possession of moss:
- Moss Drop: When he's having a lot of fun or feeling comfortable somewhere, he starts to uncontrollably drop moss around him, thus dirtying and spoiling the places he walks.
- Touch Moss: Touching an object will instantly turn it into moss and quickly disintegrate. Similar to Moss Drop, it only happens on certain occasions.
- Enraged Smoke: When scared or desperate, he will quickly spew large green smoke from his ears, reaching out and disgusting the people next to him.
- Sneezing larvae: When sneezing, he releases a couple of live larvae.

Trivia[]
- Mosshead is apparently one of the youngest students at the Scare School, judging by his height, which is slightly shorter than most of the other students, and his somewhat childish demeanor.
- In "Curse of the Sarcophagus" it is revealed that he had a coloring book, which further proves this point.
- Mosshead mentions his family in "Messy Business at the Manor", when Casper finds him crying in his dorm for being forced to spend all his holidays at Scare School, as his family would haunt a new apartment without him for being too young.
- In "Davey Jones Locker", Dash states that Mosshead only can remember his name because his mother put it on his underpants, meaning that he has a poor memory, which he really shows in the episode. However, it is possible that Mosshead's lack of memory is just a sign of his apparent stupidity, and not a real issue.
- His species is unsure, but it can be assumed that he is some kind of swamp monster, since he has stated that he and his family live in a swamp, although he also resembles some kind of goblin.
- He appears in the two 2011 comics based on the series, but only as a background character.
- He stands out as one of the Scare School students with the most resemblance to a normal human, second only to Triclops and ahead of Harpy.
- Mosshead, like the rest of Thatch's gang, with the exception of Thatch himself, does not appear in any of the franchise's released games.
