The Scare School is the main and titular location in the franchise, including the film and series. It is a boarding school located in the Underworld that was founded by Kibosh 10.000 years ago, whose main purpose is to teach the students about the basic habits of the creatures, which mainly include the scares, which is required by Kibosh to be learned by the students in order for them to help preserve the balance between creatures and humans.
Biography[]
At some point, presumably after Scare School was done, Kibosh gave Alder and Dash the job of headmasters; Although the school is under the guidance of Alder and Dash, Kibosh is still in charge, as he is over the entire Underworld, and frequently makes visits to the school to assess the teachings, the behavior of the students and the scary look of the place.
A flying pirate ship manned by Cappy provides the main connection between the Scare School and the human world, however there is also an alternate connection called Dimension Tube which connects the Scare School with The Ghostly Trio's manor in Deedstown, which is often used by Casper and his friends to get to Deedstown unnoticed.
Appearance[]
In the film, the Scare School is located in the middle of the Underworld ocean, being surrounded with tall graveyard fences and a gate with two torches and the school's name written in a floating ghostly green sign. The school also has a rather small structure, with only three buildings, which are supported on a high wooden foundation to keep them above the water. The parking and entrance building has a rocky, rounded structure, while the other two show a straighter shape, with the tallest one having large windows with an orange light inside, while the smaller one features a structure in the shape of a witch hat; The school also has a large broken wooden bridge next to it, which is used for history lessons outside the classroom. The principals' office has the external side in the shape of a bat's head made of metal, with the windows representing the eyes, being of a green color, and is located behind the three main buildings, on top of a large wooden building with a ladder to access the office. The whole place is notable for having a haunted and spooky feel, with few colors, very dim lighting and a quiet atmosphere.
In the TV series, the school got a whole new look; this time, the place is located on the edge of a large and mountainous island, and the building has a huge and detailed structure of a typical school academy, with a greater presence of corners and rooms, with several windows and doors. The Principals' office still looks the same as before, but with yellow windows instead of green, and is located in front of the path where the gate used to be, which has been replaced by two towers with yellow lights. Behind the two towers is a rocky structure of a gate shaped like a horned creature, followed by a large staircase that leads up to the Scare School's front gate, and right next to it is a smaller staircase that connects the playground with a part of the island. This time, the place is much brighter and more colorful, and in general it is almost similar to an ordinary school, having even a smaller presence of monstrous shaped structures, however, it still has the presence of dust and dirt on the walls. Around the school, there are some unknown places and small structures, which were never explored in the series.
Rooms and Places[]
Entrance[]
The entrance is adjacent to the parking lot where Cappy's ship is located, and is located inside a cave in the lower part of the school, where the Sea Monster resides.
In the movie, the entrance had a long red carpet leading to a small speech stage, which is where Kibosh welcomes students to Scare School and also where Alder and Dash book a tour of Deedstown and reveal their plan to dominate the world. human world and getting rid of Kibosh in public. On the wall behind the stage were several portraits of already formed creatures who studied there. Next to the stage is a musical piano that is played by one of the Gargoyles during the school hymn. On the right side of the parking lot there is a straight path that leads to the building.
In the series, the parking lot is much smaller, but it has a higher foundation and less pooling with the water, and it also has a floor made of wood and a small yellow fence with a gate structure in the middle, which is where the students walk through. after leaving the ship, and also two small yellow lampposts on the sides. The stage and portraits from before have been scrapped altogether and the path to the main building is now on the left side, and is also shown to be made up of a curved staircase. The cave entrance to the parking lot also looks smaller than before.
Principals' Office[]
The room where Scare School principals Alder and Dash stay. There they give morning announcements from the school and welcome students who get detention. The office also appears to be their small residence at Scare School, and they are seen constantly watching TV and sleeping there.
The office on the outside is shaped like a cat's head, made of dark metal and with green windows that represent the eyes. In the movie, the office had a blue floor and a red wall with several portraits of different sizes, including a large one with Alder and Dash. In the living room, there is a fireplace and a table on top of a green rug, which is where the directors are, and there is a small lamp above. Next to their table is a musical instrument, which they keep playing while they are busy. Around the office are some bookshelves and tables with some trophies and various sets of chemical experiments and portions, which Alder and Dash use to prepare their weapon to get rid of Kibosh. In the middle of the room is a large circular red rug. In the entrance part of the room, the walls are made of golden metal, with some red accents and skull-shaped touchas.
In the series, the office is almost the same from the outside, except for yellow windows instead of green ones, however, the interior is completely different; the room is now much more spacious and this time the floor is made of colorless wood and the walls are much more colorful, featuring many different types of materials including a red fabric and a red and yellow checkered pattern. The rug is bigger and appears to be the skin of some unknown white creature, and Alder and Dash's desk is bigger, with a curved shape and has a red and white color, and is also more full of props and resources than before. Behind the directors' corner is a large mirror with a white bat frame. The bookshelves were replaced by a platform above the office with a huge library and a yellow staircase to access it. The room also has a greater presence of lighting, with several lamps and lamps. The musical instrument is still in the room, although it is smaller and less visible. The portraits were replaced by other types of paintings and decorative objects, including tiki masks. This time the room can also be accessed by an elevator located on the opposite side of the door that this time leads straight to the stairs, unlike before, which led to a hallway. In "Ring my Bell", it is shown that there is also a TV inside the room, which Alder and Dash watch their favorite show on. The experiments and portions of the room shown in the film are no longer present here.
Hallways[]
Scare School has been shown to have two types of hallways, both of which are totally different from each other; the first is the hallway that is accessed right at the entrance of the school by going up the stairs, and in it there are several doors that lead to different rooms, including Thurdigree Burns' classroom and the men's bathroom. The second is a little uncertain where it is, but it seems to have access through the school stage and also through a staircase connected to the first corridor, and that is where both the boys' and girls' dormitories are located, as well as the infirmary.
In the film, only one hallway was shown, which had tall yellowish stone walls and a gray floor. It also had some pipes connected between the floor and the wall, and in it was located a telephone that operated by means of a crystal ball, which Thatch was seen using to talk to her mother, and also the school bell, which was very small and stuck to the wall, and is played by means of a string located to the side, which Quasi used to alert the start of science class. On the walls were also some torches with green lighting. In it were also located the dormitories and other rooms.
In the TV series, the main hallway had a blue and white checkered floor and red walls, with white parts underneath and several medieval-style wooden doors, with blue decor around each one. In some parts of the corridor there are thin blue windows, which help to brighten the place, along with several yellow lights hanging from the ceiling, replacing the torches. The second hallway has a blue-gray wooden floor and gray iron walls, and several blue-lit lamps dotted around the hallway. The place also shows some simple decorations that go from floor to ceiling and there are also some seats attached to the walls. The second hallway also appears to be divided into floors, with some stairs. There are also large windows opposite the doors.

Cafeteria[]
The cafeteria, as its name implies, is the place where students and teachers have lunch and dinner. The cafeteria food manager is a large purple monster with tentacles referred to only by The Cafeteria Thing. The cafeteria stands out as one of the main locations in the TV series.
In the movie, the cafeteria was quite small compared to other rooms seen. The floor was made of gray metal with several marks of dirt scattered around and the walls were a dirty greenish color with some pipes connected to the floor. The tables were made of a red metallic material and the seats consisted of only black stools. The part where they were served had a small stall made of the same material as the tables, with some pans and bowls on top, and on the wall behind there was a green board on which was written a list of the dishes being served. In several corners of the walls were large piles of exposed garbage, with old pots and plastic bags, though they also had garbage cans in their place, which were apparently only used by Casper. In the cafeteria there was also a yogurt machine that was seen being used by Slither. The place also had two doors, both were blue and had a triangular shape with a round front window; the first led to the corridors and the other led to an uncertain room, but probably a private room.
In the TV series, the cafeteria is much taller and more spacious. The floor is now a more "finished" orange color, as are the walls, which this time have a dirty, dusty yellow color, with some purple accents. Both tables and benches are now made of wood and are in more organized positions. The food stall is bigger and has a diverse variety of foods, and the blackboard behind where the food lists are is also bigger and on top of it are placed some large decorative objects. This time the garbage is placed inside the mouth of a large green monster puppet head near the wall. The place also has several hanging lamps with yellowish colors for lighting. The cafeteria also has a huge window on the side, which makes the place very bright. The cafeteria still has two doors, but both are now made of wood.

Library[]
The library is where students go to study, with the help of books. The place is guarded by the Nightwatch and the Calc Lizard, the latter who claims to spend most of his time there. The library is best known for the presence of the Answertorium, who rarely receives visitors and as the name implies, has the purpose of answering people's questions through riddles. In "Power Outage", students and teachers use the place as a safe place to protect themselves from Bakora, a powerful entity that steals the powers of other creatures.
The place is a huge hall, with several floors around it with small elevators and lots of colored lights scattered all over the place. In the middle of the room, there is a large cylinder shape made of several wooden drawers that slowly rotate in a loop, and in which all the books are stored. The Answertorium is located in a hidden place within the structure, and can only be accessed with the night watchman's keys. Due to the large size of the place, there are several access doors, including a large main door.
