The first season of Casper's Scare School premiered on October 4, 2009 with episodes "Fang Decay" and "Scare Day", and ended on November 11 of the same year with episodes "Casper the Match Maker" and "Jimmy Bradley: Creature Catcher". The season has 26 episodes and 52 segments.

The first season possibly takes place after the events of the film, but with a different voice cast for the characters, featuring Robbie Sublett as Casper.
The season also features the voices of Vanessa Bellardini, Shelly Shenoy, Barbara Scaff, Danny McDermott, Geoffrey Nelson, Mike Power, Mateo Raven Solano, Graham Thomas, Roberto Williams, Goldie Zwiebel, Juanny Paulino, Justin Pavia, Donna Coney Island, Adam Carter and Kevin Mar.
The series was on hiatus until the premiere of the second season in 2012.
